Transportation and Sign-in/out Policy
Drop-off/Pick-up Procedures
Parents/families must park in designated EC/Pre-K parking spots when dropping off/picking up children. Follow these guidelines:
- Do not arrive more than 10 minutes before class starts.
- Do not leave other children in your vehicle unattended while dropping off/picking up.
- Do not allow your child to exit the vehicle unaccompanied or run in the parking lot.
Special Education Bus Transportation
Children in the Early Childhood Special Education (EC) program are eligible for bussing as part of their Individual Education Program (IEP). First Student provides bus services. You can contact them at 815-748-2901. You can also contact the school district’s bus liaison at 815-754-2199.
If your child will be riding the bus, you’ll receive information about their bus number and pick-up/drop-off times before they start school. If you need to change your bus services, contact the ELDC at 815-754-2999.
Sign-in/out Policy
We have a sign-in/sign-out policy to ensure the safety of the children in our care. Any parent or family member who drops off or picks up a child must sign them in/out and bring a photo ID.
If an occasional caregiver comes to pick up a child, they must:
- Be on the approved pick-up list provided by the parents
- Be able to provide their photo ID
We will not release a child to anyone who does not meet these requirements.
